Obituary of Billy Wingler

Billy Wingler, 79, of Kistler, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 25, 2014, from his residence, after an extended illness.
He was born March 12, 1934, at Amherstdale, the son of the late Rev. Everett and Zida Bailey Wingler.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, LouAnna Workman, Mildred Perry, and Ruby Morris; two brothers, Ralph Wingler and Fred Wingler; one daughter, T.C. Thompson; and one daughter-in-law, Gaynelle Blankenship.
Billy was a retired section foreman who formerly worked for Amherst Coal Company and Pittston Coal Company. He was a member of Kistler Freewill Baptist Church. Billy enjoyed fishing, camping, going to church, playing with his grandchildren, and spending time with his family and friends. Billy was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His family and friends will miss him very much.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 38 years, Bea Wingler of Kistler; two sons, Larry (Betty) Blankenship and Jerry Blankenship, both of Pineville; one daughter, Pam (Jack) Daniels of Riley Camp; one son-in-law, H.D. Thompson of Davin; three sisters, Madyline McCoy of Huntington, Frances Duncan of Accoville, and Loraine (Red) Elkins of Riley Camp; one brother, Bobby Wingler of OH; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; his beloved pet, Bear; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 30, 2014, at the Kistler Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Roland Cook and Brother George Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Gardens at Matheny.
Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
