Of Robinette, WV
Pauline Chapman, 71, of Robinette, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, from Cabell-Huntington Hospital, after a short illness.
She was born September 12, 1942, in Wyoming County, the daughter of the late Dolt and Icy Aliff.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvester Chapman; and one brother, Floyd Aliff.
Pauline was a home maker. She was a Christian who attended Lyburn Freewill Baptist Church until her illness. She loved to cook and listen to gospel music, especially The Singing Cooks. A wonderful mother, Pauline's devotion to her family was an inspiration to all who loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Sherry Lene (Harry Toler) Chapman of Amherstdale, Patricia Ann Tudor of Beckley, and Easter Louise (Richie) Hager of Earling; one son, Edward (Betty) Aliff of OH; five grandchildren, Joshua David Toler, Natasha Lynn Toler, Brandum Michelle Tudor; Frances Louise Daniels, and Jonathan Lee Hager; great-grandchildren, Kaleb Peyton Toler, Graydon Clay, Kirsten Ann Daniels, Alyssa Ann Daniels, Raylyn Brooke Hope Hager, and Michael Harmon Hopson; two sisters, Gert Maynard of Main Huff and Terry Ann Elkins of TN; brothers, Jerry Van Elkins of Van, Bill Browning of Long Branch, and Alvie Walker of Princeton; many nieces and nephews along with of host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Friday, September 5, 2014, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Sizemore and Brother Sheldon Wells officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
