I don't remember a time without my Grandma in it in some way or another. Even when my Mother and I moved to Colorado, Grandma was always a part of our life in some way or another. Going home to visit her was one of the highlights of my past times. I remember when she'd babysit for my Mom and Dad (when I was really young) and she'd tell me stories of her childhood and of the coyotes in the mountains and how they sounded like babies and were frightening. She was an avid talker as well as a great listener. Her adventures in life made her a terrific confidant and someone who would give the best advice. She was an amazing person all around and was one of the truest, purest, most generous people I know. This loss has created such a void in my soul (and those who knew and loved her) that I don't know if it will ever be filled. What I do know is I will cherish the time I did know her and was able to be a grand-daughter to her. I will always love you, Granny. You made my life incredible and it will be hard to go on without you, but I have no doubt that family will persevere and we will see you again some day.
