Tammy Diann Ferrell Copley
Of Amherstdale, WV
Tammy Diann Ferrell Copley, 51, of Amherstdale, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 18, 2012, from St. Mary's Medical Center at Huntington, after an extended illness.
She was born May 4, 1960, at Logan, the daughter of Margaret Walls Ferrell of Lyburn and the late Donald Ferrell.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Linford and Mary Ellison Walls; paternal grandparents, Norwood and Alta Mullins Ferrell; one brother, Bradley Ferrell; one niece, Brandi Ferrell; and her father-in-law, Andrew "Dutter" Copley.
A 1978 graduate of Man High School, Tammy was formerly employed as a mine clerk for Pittston Coal Company for 14 years. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and playing with her dog, BoBo. Tammy was of the Free Will Baptist faith.
Those left to cherish her memory, in addition to her mother, are her husband, Mark Copley of Amherstdale; one daughter, Ashley Copley of Charleston; one brother, Scott Ferrell of Lyburn; her mother-in-law, Lorine Copley of Amherstdale; two very special aunts, Georgia Burgess of Lyburn and Anna Lou Walls of Neibert; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 22, 2012, at the Greenbranch Free Will Baptist Church at Man with Rev. Treaby Scaggs and Deacon Shelly Wells officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the church.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
