One of my fondest memories of my cousin Tammy was when we were teenagers and I came to visit. We went to visit a lot of neighbors in the area. She knew everyone in the coal camp. She helped a lot of people with things that a lot of us take for granted. She was a friend, care giver, and an inspiration to everyone there and everyone loved her. She opened my eyes to a different world. ( I grew up in the City in the North) I loved her and admired her. Although we went different directions later in life. I will always remember her the way she was. The way was dark through the valleys and the hills loomed too high to climb. Yet the light beckoned her on to the steps of the other side. To the crowd of familiar faces, to welcoming kisses and hugs, to meadows of flowers, to glorious heaven.
