Obituary of Heidi Adelheid Meade
Please share a memory of Heidi to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Heidi Adelheid Meade, 67, of Amherstdale, completed her earthly assignment and went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, April 13, 2023, leaving from Logan Regional Medical Center after a long hard fought battle.
She was born on November 20, 1955, in Furth, Germany, the daughter of the late Alois and Ernestine (Klier) Rothenbacher.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five infant grandchildren, one sister, Rosie Carpenter; maternal grandparents, Johann and Marie Klier; and paternal grandparents, Jakob Perter and Josefine (Witting) Rothenbacher.
Heidi retired from Advance Auto Parts after 16 years of service. She was baptized on June 24, 1979 and became a faithful member of the Crown Freewill Baptist Church where she served on the card ministry and as the janitor. Heidi loved her church and church family. If you met Heidi you met Jesus because she told you all about him. She was a willing servant for the Lord; testifying, participating in all church functions, flower arranging and decorating, and volunteering for a visiting ministry at the nursing homes.
She was a woman of traditions in her family. Heidi made sure that dinners and holidays were presented the same way every year. She was an amazing crafter making her own floral arrangements, decorations, Christmas pillows, and working with her granddaughters to make ornaments for her Christmas trees. She decorated every room of her house every Christmas putting up multiple trees making her home look like a Christmas Wonderland.
Heidi adored her twin granddaughters, Allie and Madie. Together, they made many memories throughout the years.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, best friend, and caregiver, Amie Fowler and her husband Seth with whom she made her home for the last year; her son, Stephen Craig Meade, Jr. and his wife Kena of Robinette; twin grand-daughters, Allison Meade and her fiancé Derek “Po” Julious of Greenvalley and Madison Meade of Huntington; one great-grandson, Kyrie Craig Julious; four sisters, Erika Steiner and Renate Steiner, both of Germany, Monika Lagasse of Killen, TX, and Karen Carpenter of NC, two brothers, Gerhard Steiner and Karl Heinz Steiner, both of Germany; her special friends, Steve and Tina Fowler of Chapmanville; many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives, church family, and friends.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. II Timothy – 4:7-8
