My thoughts, prayers, and heart are with Stephen, Amie and the rest of the family. Stephen was my best friend during childhood and one of my earliest memories of Heidi was seeing just how dedicated and passionate she was when it came to the martial art of karate, where she was able to achieve a very high rank. Having such a high skill level in karate, paired with her overall tough as nails German personality, made her a very unique women. I was also a witness to this same kind of passion and dedication when it came to her children and family. And as I moved away, I was able to watch from a far, via social media, Heidi pour her heart and soul into her Church and into her faith in Jesus, even as she battled cancer. She always treated myself and others with the upmost love and kindness and will be greatly missed by her family and the community. Heidi was truly one of a kind. Ruhe in Frieden
