As a youngster growing up in Oceana in the 40's and 50's, like most folks, my family followed the Oceana Indians football and basketball teams all over Southern West Virginia. I remember Bill was an excellent player- small, but "scrappy", and he and his teammates gave a lot of us something to be proud about with their many victories!!
