Obituary of Eric Dewayne Blair

Please share a memory of Eric to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Eric Dewayne Blair Of Naples, FL formerly of Man, WV Eric Dewayne Blair, 46, of Naples, FL departed this life suddenly on December 30, 2022 at NCH Northeast Hospital in Naples, FL He was born on October 4, 1976 in Man, a son of Tom (Deanna) Blair of Lyburn, WV and Darlene (David) Craddock of Holden, WV. Preceding him in death are his paternal grandparents, Tilden and Mae Blair; maternal grandfathers, Phillip Branham and Andy Hannah; along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Eric was a 1994 graduate of Man High School where he played baseball and football. A few years after graduation, he moved to South Carolina and took a job with the City of Myrtle Beach, where he gained knowledge of utilities maintenance. He continued his studies at Horry-Georgetown Tech where he took Civil Engineering classes. These studies led him to his current position as Utilities Project Superintendent with Quality Enterprises, USA, in Naples, FL. Eric and his family moved back to WV for a few years, where he worked in the coal mines for Kanawha Eagle and later Cliffs Natural Resources as an underground electrician. Eric enjoyed riding in the mountains with family and friends and his annual hunting trip with his family. When Courtney was old enough to play ball, Eric found a new love for the game of softball. He enjoyed coaching the girls and continued this from Man to Naples. The past couple of years he has enjoyed time in his back yard where he enjoyed weekends in the pool and working on projects. Most recently, he had been practicing becoming a BBQ smoke master. If you knew him, you knew he was always willing to help. Eric was quick with come backs and you could always count on him to speak his mind. Those left to cherish his memory, in addition to his parents, are his wife of 23 years, Holly Short Blair and their children and blessings, Courtney Jo and Caeden Lane Blair, all of Naples, FL; one brother, Jeffrey Blair of Logan, WV; and one special sister, Tommi Marie (Kirkland) Willard of Man, WV; one nephew Kazin Willard and a nephew due in May; his maternal grandmother, Deloris Hannah; his parents-in-law, Roger and Elaine Short of Man, WV; and a special friend who was like a brother growing up, David Hall of Coal Grove, OH along with a host of other relatives and friends.
