Barbara Brown posting for Earthel. Earthel said he and Harry Dean had been friends for around 53 years. He taught with Harry for many years, Harry worked with Earthel some summers and was a good friend. Earthel enjoyed discussion with Harry when they worked together and knew any class in his care would be run well. After Earthel retired he would blow his Jeep horn when he would see Harry outside the Middle School. Earthel considered Harry to be a good friend and will miss him.
Unfortunately, Earthel is having difficulty walking due to a knee problem and will be unable to attend Harry Dean's services.
Please know that the family is in our prayers. Earthel said Harry Dean was a good man!

Harry was a true friend and welcomed me at Man Jr High when I went up there to teach Junior ROTC in 1992-2001. He will sadly be missed by the lives of the thousands of students whom he taught and continued his love of teaching as a substitute teacher after he retired. I will surely donate what I can for the bench in Harrys honor. Sarge

Mr Jordan was my teacher who did a great kindness that I will never forget. I had the privilege of working with him as a teacher as well. They do not make them like him anymore. He was dependable, jovial, kind, and compassionate. You will be sorely missed. RIP my sweet friend. Prayers for your family. Crystal Adkins Toler

Mr Jordan was THE BEST TEACHER TO EVER EXIST, but besides that I consider him as my friend or ever my great grandfather that I never met before! He was the best and was loved by everyone. I broke into tears when I found this out. But he is now free and happier then ever with the lord.

My deepest sympathies and condolences to all those that loved Harry. I had the pleasure of working with him at Man Middle School. When I think about Harry, I think how dependable and honest he was. Harry is gone, but not forgotten. RIP, Mr. Jordan!

Mr. Jordan taught my mother, myself, and all my kids at one point or another! I know I have some stories for sure of our times! But all on my end have the same remembrance and that he stood outside his door greeting with smiles or by name every class, everyday.
His humbleness was amusing at the same time. He taught with common sense and left the learning up to you.
Anyone who is remembering him at this time, just know he was worthy of your time and thought in doing so!!!
Thank You Mr Jordan for your service to our country and freedom, and your service to mentoring and teaching generations of folks in our area!

He taught me in 9th grade and I loved him as a mentor and enjoyed all of our talks. He was an inspiration to everyone who knew him and will be greatly missed. The pleasure was mine to have had you for a teacher. Prayer for the family.
