I regret not making it up the past years to come see you more often like the family did a few times a year growing up. Although we didn't get to spend so much time together due to living so far apart I always enjoyed the time we did have when we were around. I have heard such wonderful things about your lady and her family and even though I've never met them my heart goes out to the people who were so dear to my grandfather. He was truly blessed. Say not in grief: "He is no more", but live in thankfulness that he was. As death is not the extinguishing of a light, but the putting out of the lamp because the dawn has come. Your legacy lives on through your son, his sons, and your great grandsons. (Dietrich and Bishop Berry)

My sincere condolences to Burley’s family and his loving companion Shirley Blankenship. Burley was a very kind and caring person. He always smiled and joked around with others. Every time I saw him anywhere, he always spoke and took time to ask how I was doing. He seemed to have a really big heart. He will truly be missed. RIP Burley “Romeo” Berry.
