Teddy Joe Hoosier Of Crown, WV Teddy Joe Hoosier, 58, of Crown, departed this life to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 1, 2020, at CAMC-Memorial Division at Charleston, after a sudden illness. He was born on March 7, 1962, at Man, the son of the late Billy Ray and Mary Jo Mullins Hoosier. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Ray Hoosier, Jr. and Terry Lee Hoosier; one brother-in-law, Pete Bailey; his maternal grandparents, Dana and Daisy Stowers; and his paternal grandparents, Estil and Bessie Hoosier. Teddy was a 1980 graduate of Man High School where he excelled in sports especially basketball. He enjoyed being outside; camping, fishing, and 4 wheeling. He was an active Dad in his children’s lives, coaching t-ball, basketball, and soft ball teams. Teddy was a joyful person always singing and making others laugh. He loved his family and will be deeply missed by those who loved him. Those left to cherish his memory are two sons, Casey Joe Hoosier and his fiancé Ashley Hopson of Madison Creek and Teddy Joe “T.J.” Hoosier, II of Kistler; one daughter, Vickie (Burnell) Martin of St. Albans; one sister, Vickie Lynn Bailey of Omar; seven grandchildren, Alexa Leigh Hoosier, Layla Jo Hoosier, Hayden Ray Hoosier, and Jacob Lee Riley Hopson, all of Accoville and Kai Martin, Urijah Martin, and Isla Martin, all of St. Albans; his life long best friend who was like a brother, Tom Kent of Accoville; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2020, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Jason Hawkins officiating. Entombment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Pallbearers will be Casey Hoosier, T.J. Hoosier, Shane Hoosier, Grifyn Hoosier, Tyler Chafin, Jacob Chafin, Kai Martin, and Urijah Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Kent, Billy Gene Hoosier, and Billy Chafin.
