Bertha's father Roy and my Grandfather, McKinley Grimmett were first cousins. Also, her mother, Brida Smith and my grandmother, Matilda Hatfield Grimmett were also first cousins. We are family!
I left Bruno almost 50 years ago, but to this day I can still hear her laugh. If there is anything that comes to mind when I think of Bertha, I will always remember her laughing.
My heart goes out to the whole family and I hope they know I love them all deeply. I regret I cannot attend the
service tomorrow, but my heart will be there with everyone, especially Nanny, Larry, Donna, Michelle, David & Katelyn.
Love and prayers,
Peggy Altizer Mynes

Linda, Larry and Roger, your Mother was a charming and funny lady. I had occasion to work at the hospital at the same time. She would send me the occasional steak dinner on the dumb waiter when I worked back to back shifts! Just an awesome people person! I know she will be missed by all that knew her!
