Jerry Franklin Robertson
of Davin, WV
Jerry Franklin Robertson, 67, of Davin, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 5, 2014, leaving from his home at Davin, after a long illness.
He was born August 25, 1947, at Shelby Gap, KY, the son of Nona Reed Robertson Anderson Toler of Combs Addition and the late Lewis Everett "Tag" Robertson.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Jerry was a 1965 graduate of Man High School and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He began his civilian career as an electrician in the coal mines. Later, he worked as a federal mine inspector retiring from the Department of Labor in 2006. Jerry attended the Mallory Church of God for over 30 years where he was a former Sunday school teacher. A 32nd Degree Mason, Jerry was a member of the Aracoma Lodge Number 99. He was a Juried Artesian with Tamarac and the WV Artist and Craftsman Guild, crafting dulcimers, psaltries, and other musical instruments.
Those left to cherish his memory, in addition to his mother, are his wife of 48 years, Wanda Kay Crabtree Robertson; two daughters, Jeri Kay (Perry) Wallace and Cheri (Jeremy) Harris, both of Davin; one brother, Lewis E. "Bill'' (Patty) Robertson, Jr. of Ripley; one sister, Cindy (Dan) Baccellieri of Greenvalley; three grandchildren, Katie Lynne Robertson of Orlando, FL and Jeremy Harris and Jeredan Harris, both of Davin; and several nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Honoring Jerry's request, there will be no services and his remains have been cremated.
