Barbara Ann Campbell

Of Accoville, WV

Barbara Ann Campbell, 88, of Accoville, went to be with the Lord on May 1, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on August 1, 1930, at Taplin, a daughter of the late George Alexander and Mary Mildred (Johnson) Jeffries.

Those gathered to welcome her to Heaven were her husband, Rev. Clarence Robert Campbell; one son, Rev. Earl David Campbell; two brothers, Jim and Thomas Jeffries; and one sister, Alice Depta.

Barbara met the love her life Clarence Campbell in 1948 and they were married that very year.  Together they partnered in ministry for over 68 years.  Pastoring and preaching to multiple churches through out WV, KY, VA, and OH.  Their passion for each other was only magnified by their passion for their Lord Jesus Christ.

As a loving mother she leaves as her legacy her seven children, Rev. Roger Dale (Kathy) Campbell of TN, Debbie (Clarence) Freeman of Accoville with whom she made her home, Kathy (Dale) Morgan of KY, Robbie (Brenda) Campbell of Charleston, Andrew Campbell of MN, Kim (David) Boone of VA, and Mary (Jeff) Lester of Winfield.  She also leaves to cherish her memory a daughter-in-law, Betty Campbell of Accoville; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one brother,   Eugene (Francis) Jeffries of MI.  Her children remember her as a supreme example of Motherhood both as a mother and servant of Christ that they each continually try to cultivate in their own lives.

The family would like to express their extreme gratitude to the entire staff, nurses and physicians, of Boone Memorial Hospital for their compassion and care of their mother.  Words cannot express how much the family appreciates all the wonderful thoughts, words, and actions toward their mother during her stay.

Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at the Landville Freewill Baptist Church at Landville and one hour prior to services at the church also.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2019, at the Landville Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Campbell and Rev. Joe Lane officiating.  Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.

   Pallbearers will be family.
