Elestine “Ellie” McDaniels
of
Elestine “Ellie” McDaniels, 86, went to her Heavenly home on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, leaving from Trinity Healthcare at Logan, surrounded by her loving family and friends, after a long illness.
She was born on January 11, 1933, at Mallory, a daughter of the late Arnold Andy and Ollie Jane Toler Belcher.
Waiting to welcome her to Heaven was her loving husband of 53 years, Jack McDaniels, Sr. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her step-mother, Ruth Belcher; infant siblings, Mamie, Louise, and Henry Belcher; brothers and sisters, Sebert Belcher, Goldie Mills and her husband, Homer, Belva Amburgey, Chris Spears and her husband, Benny, and Rufus Ray Browning; her parents-in-law, Price and Effie Ratliff McDaniels; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Virginia Huffman and her husband, Freeland, Lucy Brown and her husband, Dave, Glenda DeBord and her husband, Junior, Emmazell Sizemore and her husband, Clyde “Skinny”, Effie Bennett and her husband, Dana, Lavodise “Bobbie” Gillispie and her husband, Harvey “Bear Track”, Edgar McDaniels, Eddie McDaniels, Price “Mac” McDaniels, Marvin “Buck” McDaniels, and Edward “Butch” McDaniels and his wife, Linda.
Ellie was a home maker, a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a lifelong resident of Landville. She was also a lifelong member of
Those left to cherish her memory are four children, Jack (Jeanie) McDaniels of Robinette, Diana (Steve) Caldwell of Accoville, Tammy (Randy) Browning of Cooks Addition, and Darren (Candi) McDaniels of Landville; a special granddaughter who devoted the last 16 years to helping take care of her grandmother, Megan McDaniels of Man; 10 grandchildren, Kelli (J.B.) McCallister of Sod, Jack (Candy) McDaniels III, Stephen Caldwell of Accoville, Rachel (Mike) Lewis of Parkersburg, Jessica (T.J.) Blevins of Robinette, Tyler (Katelin) Browning of Switzer, Shana (Brad) Vance of Harts, Michaela McDaniels of Man, Darren Shayne McDaniels, and Jonah McDaniels, all of Man; their mother, Tonya McDaniels of Man who was like a daughter to Ellie; 14 great-grandchildren, Caleb and Kylie Blevins, McKenzie Davis, J.D. and Angelia McCallister, L.J. and Ryder McDaniels, Karson and Drew Lewis, Blake and Jaxon Vance, Ethan Pansera, Maverick Browning, and Caiden Brooks; two sisters, Josie Browning of Pomeroy, OH and Geraldine Karnes of Lake Wells, FL; many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives, church family, and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Trinity Healthcare for their care and compassion especially Kelly Nelson. A special thank you to her niece, Susie Bray and her great-niece, Cindy Brown for taking care of Ellie and for Cindy always cutting her hair. We would also like to extend our appreciation to Rev. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday evening at
Friends may gather one hour prior to services on Sunday at the church also.
A continued celebration of Ellie’s life will begin at 1:00 p.m. Sunday at the
Pallbearers will be family.
