Edward Bryson Paynter
of
Edward Bryson “Eddie” Paynter, 71, of Davin, passed away peacefully at the Dignity Hospice House at Chapmanville, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, March 28, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Olive Hill, KY on November 30, 1947, the son of the late Nelson Paynter Jr. and Cathleen Manning Paynter.
Those waiting in Heaven to welcome him home, in addition to his parents, are his devoted wife of 38 years, Joyce Miller Paynter; his daughter, Andrea Michelle Paynter; and his parents-in-law, Harrison and Delphia Jude Miller.

Those left to honor his memory are his son, Edward H. Paynter and his wife, Natalie Gina Fleming Paynter; one granddaughter, Lauren Leboeuf; two grandsons, Edward H. Paynter II and Ashton C. Paynter, all of Chardon, OH; two sisters, Brenda Burnette of Davin and Mary-K (Kathy) Balzell and her husband, Jerry; one nephew, Deric C. (Kasey) Paynter; one niece, Jacqueline Balzell and one great-niece, Kinzley, all of Lake City, FL; and his loving companion of 14 years, Bernice Sims of Davin; along with a host of family, friends, and his Race Crew at Paynter-Sims Racing.
The family would like to thank Stephanie Donahue and the team of health professionals at Dignity Hospice for all of their care, love, and support through out the past few weeks. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2019, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man where a funeral service will begin at 7 p.m. with Rev. William F. Flannery III officiating. Military honors will be observed.

To honor Eddie’s wishes, his remains will be cremated and entombed with his wife and daughter at a later date.
