Frank Levak
Of Davin, WV
Frank Levak, 91, of Davin, departed this life on Friday, November 28, 2014, at Logan Regional Medical Center, after a short illness.
He was born March 13, 1923, at Barton, OH, the son of the late Frank Levak, Sr. and Mary Hayes Levak Margocee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Alex Hayes, Paul Margocee, and James Margocee.
Frank retired in 1980 from Arch of WV where he worked at the Fanco Tipple. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He enjoyed working on cars and repairing things around the house.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 67 years, Gertrude Miller Levak; one son, Larry Levak of Charleston; two grandchildren, Angela Levak of Largo, FL and Jeffrey (Melissa) Levak of Louisville, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at the Claypool United Methodist Church with Rev. Norman Harvey and Rev. Kevin Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby where military graveside rites will be conducted by the VFW Post 6153 & American Legion Post 103 of Chapmanville and DAV Post 39 of Harts.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man and one hour prior to services at the church.
Pall bearers will be Jim Roach, Rev. Norman Harvey, Teddy Staten, Les Belcher, Larry Lester, and Orval Lee Davis.
Honorary pall bearer will be Jack Smith.
