Clyde Edward Moreland
Of Taplin, WV
Clyde Edward Moreland, 72, of Taplin, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, November 28, 2014, leaving from Thomas Memorial Hospital, after an extended illness.
He was born on May 30, 1942, at Ethel, the son of the late Jack and Gracie Frye Moreland.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Georgia Weiss, a brother, Ralph Robert Moreland; his grandparents, Ben and Fannie Moreland and Willie and Georgia Frye; his mother-in-law, Lorraine Sargent; and brother-in-law, Larry Hunter.
Clyde attended Man High School. In 1962 he lived in Fremont, OH where he worked for Wilson Cabinetry. Moving in 1967 to Chicago, IL where he worked for American Hospital as an electrician. Clyde returned to WV in 1970 and became the owner and operator of D & R Trucking. He enjoyed Nascar Racing, loved camping with family, and watching his favorite TV programs.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Colecha Diana Mitchell Moreland; two daughters, Rhonda Moreland of Chicago, IL and Rebecca (Harry, Jr.) Albright of Lundale; two brothers, Donald (Retha) Moreland of Bartlesville, OK and Donnie Moreland of Neibert; three sisters, Linda Hunter of Neibert, Gloria (James) Meadows of Oceana, and Jacqueline (Nyle) Pemberton of South Point, OH; brother-in-law, Clyde (Elizabeth) Mitchell of MD; sisters-in-law, Sandy (Danny) Harless of Bolt and Gail (Marty) Woolum of Oceana; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, a special friend, Larry Brown; and his canine companion, Baby Boy.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Wanda Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services.
Pall bearers will be Danny Harless, Rick and Tyler Hunter, Shane Marcum, James Meadows, Donald Moreland, and Ron Barr.
