Georgia Ann Wingler

Of Mallory, WV

   Georgia Ann Wingler, 55, of Mallory, departed this life on Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Logan Regional Medical Center, after a long illness.

   She was born on April 4, 1963, at Man, a daughter of the late Wayne Norman and Phyllis Jean Lewis Walls.

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Robin Gay Marsingill; one brother, Stephen Wayne Walls; two sisters-in-law, Brenda Sue Hicks and Trish Walls; and one brother-in-law, Rodney Walls.

   Georgia worked as a caretaker for the elderly when she was able.  A friendly person, Georgia never met a stranger. She enjoyed traveling, going to ballgames, and finding good yard sales.  Devoted to her family, she especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

   Those left to cherish her memory are three children, Phyllis Christine (Eli “Bucky”) Thomas of Verner, Ashley Nicole (Jackie) Walls of Earling, and David Alan Wingler and his fiancé, Virginia Ann Harper, both of Mallory; the father of her children, David Lee Wingler of Lundale; six grandchildren, Ike David Thomas and Rebecca Ann Thomas, both of Verner, Jason Tyler Thomas, Caleb Jack Thomas, and Cody Alexander Walls, all of Earling, and Hailey Brooke Wingler of Christian; two sisters, Toni Gail Walls of NC and Kim Walls of Hanover; one brother, Buck Walls of Mallory; a special friend, Bessie Osborne of MS; many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.

   Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2018, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Donnie Sparks officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.

   Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services also.

   Pallbearers will be Aaron Fields, Keith Caudill, Gary McDaniels, Justin McDaniels, Art Collins, and Mikey Paugh.

   Honorary pallbearers will be Theo Cooper, Roger Lamb, and Matt Goodman.
