Of Accoville, WV

   Mona Pearl Matthews, 59, of Accoville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, leaving from Logan Regional Medical Center at Logan, after a short illness.

   She was born on March 21, 1959, at Bruno, a daughter of the late Lowell Quincey and Allie Grimmett Fowler.

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Debbie Fowler and Anna Fowler Williams; and one brother, Ray Fowler.

   Mona was a home maker and was of the Baptist faith.  She enjoyed playing on her tablet, shopping, and spending time with her grandchildren. 

   Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 43 years, Ricky Edward Matthews; three daughters, Amanda Matthews, Melissa (Fred) Damron, and Rickarah Matthews, all of Accoville; two sons, Ricky (Melissa) Matthews, Jr. of Accoville and Norman (Renee) Matthews of Bim; four sisters, Jackie Mitchell of VA, Tina Ellis of NC, Bonnie Mullins of TX, and Barb Fowler of AZ; one brothers, Walter Fowler of Bim; 12 grandchildren, Karen Wells, Erine Matthews, Katie Matthews, Little Ricky Matthews, Skylar Matthews, Emma Copley, Cody Copley, Megan Damron, Spencer Damron, Rylee Townsend, April Matthews, and Charles Matthews; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.

   Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, November 11, 2018 at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Bobby Adkins officiating.  Burial will follow in Browning Cemetery at Robinette.

   Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home also.

   Pall bearers will be the Buffalo Creek Volunteer Fire Department.
