Sharon Carol Browning

Of Robinette, WV

Sharon Carol Browning, 70, of Robinette, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 26, 2018, leaving from her earthly home at Robinette, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on December 19, 1947, at Lorado, a daughter of the late Kenzie Kimble and Pauline Eva Cook Tudor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Rev. Paul David Browning, II; one sister, Vetelene Adkins; and one brother, Kenzie Tudor, Jr.

Sharon was a 1965 graduate of Crossland High School at Hyattsville, MD.  After graduation she went to Chicago, IL where she married the love of her life, P.D. Browning.  In 1970, she and P.D. moved back to Amherstdale where they raised their family.  She went to work at Hensley Furniture Company at Man in the 1980’s where she worked for 12 years.  Sharon then became a cook at Man Appalachian Regional Hospital where she worked until the hospital’s closure.  A Christian for 33 years, Sharon and P.D. were members of the Robinette Church of God for 13 years until they transferred their membership to the Man Church of God where she remained a member until her passing.  Sharon was a member and former president of the Man Church of God Ladies Aide, and a former Sunday school teacher.  She enjoyed four wheeling, her cat, nosy, and her dogs, Nickie and Woobles.  Devoted to her family, Sharon loved spending time with all of her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 53 years, P.D. Browning; one daughter, Donna Yvonne (Jennings) Miller of Bruno; two sisters, Shirley Bigam and Tonya Gore, both of Amherstdale; four grandchildren, Billy Paul (Stephanie) Collins of Cyclone, Amanda Michelle (Ballard) Blankenship of Robinette, Matthew (Angie) Miller of Christian, and Monica Miller of Grundy, VA; two great-grandchildren, Lakenzie Belle Blankenship and Aleeah Grace Blankenship; two step-great-grandchildren, Darius Blankenship and Curiana Blankenship; a special niece, Christine (Dean) Leomporra of Worcester, PA; many other nieces and nephews; and special church grandsons, James and Garrett Hill along with a host of other relatives, church family, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the Man Church of God at Man where a celebration of life service will be held at 7 p.m. with Rev. Donald Lafferty and Rev. Robert “Bobby” Maxwell officiating.

Sharon will lovingly be laid to rest at 11 a.m. Monday, October 29, 2018, at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.

Pall bearers will be her nephews.
