Of Christian, WV

   Cecil Linton Bobbitt, 76, of Christian, departed this life on Monday, September 10, 2018, at Logan Regional Medical Center.

   He was born on January 21, 1942 at Rome, GA. He was the son of the late Robert Bobbitt and Alice Story Bobbitt Stephens.

   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Eathel Delorice Bobbitt.

   Cecil was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and special dog “Bear”. His strong faith in God carried him through all of life's hardships and he was an inspiration to his family.

   Those left to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Debbie (Johnny) Blankenship of Gilbert, Tammy (Roger) Robinette of Spice Creek; one son Randall Bobbitt of Christian; one sister, Glenda Jones of  Rome, GA; 5 grandchidren, Dustin Bobbitt of Christian, Tara (Matthew) Grubb of Bolt, Whitney (Madison) Brown of Huntington, Corey Robinette of Spice Creek, and Brittany Robinette of Neon, KY; four great-grandchildren, Levi Grubb, Kinlee Grubb, Briella Brown, and Colton McCray; and the wonderful Auldie Lester family.           

  Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 13, 2018, at Christian Freewill Baptist Church at Christian with Rev. Jackie Grimmett and Rev. Roger Browning officiating.  Following services he will lovingly be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Eathel Delorice Bobbitt.

   Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday at Christian Freewill Baptist Church and one hour prior to services at the church also.

   Pall bearers will be family and friends.
