James Edward “Jimmy” Workman
Of
James Edward Workman, 59, of Taplin, got his wings back on and is happily riding on the streets of Heaven. Jimmy left this world on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, leaving from CAMC-Memorial Division after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born June 12, 1959, at Man, a son of the late Ralph Jennings Workman and the late DuWanna Jean Dyson Workman Leyba.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry “Toby” Workman and Jennings “Mark” Workman.
Jimmy was a disabled coal miner who worked for various local coal mines. He loved riding his Harley occasionally riding along with local motorcycle clubs. Jimmy enjoyed sitting on the river bank fishing and spending time with his family and friends especially his grandchildren. Before his disability, Jimmy liked hunting with his family and friends.
Leaving loved ones to cherish his memory are his son, Eric and Megan Lowe of Lawrenceburg, KY; one sister, Alesia Workman of Ethel; one aunt, Rossa Robles of Gretna, LA; four special grandchildren, Blayne Lucas Waits, Emily Ryan Lowe, Ella Jade Lowe, and Eric Todd Lowe II; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, September 2, 2018, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with services starting at 7 p.m. with Rev. Roger Sizemore officiating.
In honor of Jimmy’s request his remains will be cremated after the visitation.
