Donald Wayne Short Of Davin, WV Donald Wayne Short, 59, of Davin, went to be with the Lord on November 3, 2014, from his home, after a battle with cancer. He was born July 19, 1955, at Man, the son of the late John B. and Ruby K. Nunley Short. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Judy Whittaker. Donald was a disabled coal miner formerly employed with Pittston Coal Company. He was a member of UMWA local 1751. An outdoorsman, Donald enjoyed hunting and fishing. Those left to cherish his memory are one daughter, April Short Williams of Bruno; two grandchildren, Billy Williams and Katie Williams; siblings, Jerry (Billie) Short and Bradley Short, both of Oklahoma City, OK, Ronald (Diane) Short and Sharon (Larry) Baisden, both of Davin, and Larry (Vicky) Short of Jacksonville, NC; best friends, Glen Cooper and James Justice; and many nieces and nephew along with a host of other relatives and friends. Special thanks to Dignity Hospice. Honoring Donald's request there will be no services and his remains have been cremated.
