Charles “Chuck” Flowers

Of Greenville, WV

   Charles Richard “Chuck” Flowers, 66, of Greenville, departed this life on Monday, July 9, 2018, at Dignity Hospice House at Chapmanville with family by his side.

   He was born on October 19, 1951, at Logan, the son of the late Charles and Alta Jo Cyfers Flowers.

   In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Mary Lou Flowers and Melvin and Lura Cyfers.

   Chuck was a 1969 graduate of Man High School.  He was stationed in Germany with the U.S. Army from 1971-1973 where he attained the rank of Specialist 4.  He began working in the coal mines when he returned home after being honorably discharged from the U.S. Army.  Chuck was a great father to his girls and an even better PaPaw to his babies.

   Those left to love and cherish his memory are two daughters, Angela Hope Flowers and her companion Todd Manser of Cleves, Ohio and Lisa Rae Flowers and her fiancé, Freddie Shanklin II of McConnell; one sister, Helen “Sissy” Flowers of Seymour, TN; two grandchildren who were the loves of his life, Harrison Ray and Annalee Louise Shanklin, both of McConnell; his former wife and the mother of his children, Vickie Miller Flowers of Christian; his nieces and nephew, Stephanie, Sandy, Angel, and John; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

   He will be greatly missed by his best friends; his dog, Deuce and cat, Sweetie.

   Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2018, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Ollie Parsons officiating.  Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby where military graveside rites will be conducted by VFW Post 6153 & American Legion Post 103 of Chapmanville and DAV Post 39 of Harts.

   Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.

   Pall bearers will be family and friends.
