Irene Edna Peters, 89, of Accoville, formerly of Three Forks, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 6, 2018, leaving from her residence after a short illness.
She was born August 29, 1928, at Three Forks, a daughter of the late Raymond and Allie Victoria Osborne.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry William Peters; five brothers, Hebert, Raymond, Jr., Nathan, Seibert, and Roy Gene Osborne; two sisters, Holleen Albright and Anna Blevins.
Irene was a home maker who kept an immaculate house and was very proud of her home. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. A woman who enjoyed working with her hands, she delighted in quilting, crocheting, and growing flowers. Irene loved sharing the bounty of afghans she made with her grandchildren. Her passion was getting her family together for all holidays especially Christmas which was her favorite. She had a gift of making each of her family members feel special. Those left to cherish her memory are three sons, Gary (Barbara) Peters of Lorado, Larry (Ailene) Peters of Portland, TN, and Danny (Dreama) Peters of Accoville; one brother, Donald Osborne of Covington, VA; one sister, Eilene (Raul) Arzola of San Diego, CA; eight grandchildren, Shannon Browning, Josh Browning, Jason Peters, Kim Toler, Larry “Pete” Peters, Jr., Rebecca Miller, Tracy Peters, and Ginger Peters; 12 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren; and her fur baby, GiGi along with a host of other relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank Donald Osborne, Eilene Arzola, Shannon Browning, and Jason Peters for the love, kindness, and compassion that they showed to Irene during her final illness.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m until 1 p.m. on Monday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 9, 2018, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home with Rev. Roland Cook and Rev. Rindy Canterbury officiating. Burial will follow in
