Lessie Irene Dillon Bailey, 87, of
She was born March 19, 1931, at Hamlin, a daughter of the late Jesse and Martha Summers Dillon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Herbert Bailey; two step-sons, James Bailey and Charles Bailey; two step-daughters, Nila Jean Curry and Ruth Grimmett; four sisters, Opal Bailey, Glenna Lucas, Ruby Hager and Sylvia Martin; one brother, Nathan Dillon; and an infant baby sister, Rosella Jane Dillon.
Lessie was a home maker and a member of Lundale Free Will Baptist Church. She was also a member of S.T.A.R.T at
Those left to cherish her memory are one son, Curtis (Jane) Bailey of Newton, NC; one step-daughter, Joyce Browning of Huntington; one step-son, Ronnie Bailey of Newark, OH; one sister, Della Lee Wright of TX; one brother, Cameron Dillon of Flatwoods, WV; three grandchildren, Sonny (Linda Ray) Bailey of Leesage, WV, Lisa Meadows of Newton, NC and Tanya Jackson of Kings Mtn., NC; 7 great-grandchildren, Antony, Rhiannon, and Jeremiah Meadows of Newton, NC, Willow and Tharon Jackson of Newton, NC, and Ryan and Morgan Bailey of Lesage, WV; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2018, at the
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the church also.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
