Linda Kay Collins, 73, of Greenvalley, went home to be with the Lord and her loved ones who have gone before her on Monday, May 28, 2018, at the home of her daughter in Hampton, VA, surrounded by her loving children, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on March 11, 1945, at Jenkinjones in McDowell County, a daughter of the late Martin Lorraine and Maxine Sartin Johnson.

In addition to her parents, those who have gone on before her are her beloved husband, George Wilson Collins; one daughter, Shawn Lea Matthews; two grandchildren, Sierra and Taylor Saucier; and one brother, William Lorraine Johnson.

Linda was very thankful for the love and care provided to her by Riverside Regional Hospital and Riverside Hospice Care Team.

A special thank you from Linda and her family to her son-in-law, Jeffery Saucier, who she thought of as a son, for his endless compassion, dedication, love, and care throughout her illness and journey.
