Of Man, WV
Virginia Lee "Jenny" Brumfield, 69, of Man, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 23, 2014, from her residence, after a short illness.
She was born on September 29, 1944, in Lincoln County, the daughter of the late Bruce Bennett and Effie Stevens Brumfield.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Phyllis Ann Brumfield and Mary Alice Brumfield Harvey; and one brother, Frederick Leon Brumfield.
Jenny was a retired finance manager formerly employed with Security Pacific in Logan for many years. She was a member of Mallory Church of God, where she was an active member of the choir and ladies ministries.
Those left to cherish her memory are her siblings, James Floyd (Shirley) Brumfield of AZ, Charles Edward Brumfield and Billy Jarrell (Charlene) Brumfield, both of North Ridgeville, OH, Margaret Louise Mutters of Davin, Lola Mae (Perry) Harvey of Accoville, and Rev. Bruce Bennett (Brenda) Brumfield, Jr. of Lumberton, NC; 32 nieces and nephews; 77 great-nieces and great-nephews; and 28 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; and her canine companion and friend, Maggie, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1 P.M. Sunday, January 26, 2014, at the Mallory Church of God at Mallory with Rev. Shaun Walker, Rev. Donald Lafferty, and Rev. Bruce Bennett Brumfield, Jr. officiating. Entombment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Friends may call from 11 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Sunday at the church.
Pall bearers will be nephews.
