Obituary of Paul Junior Ellison

Rev. Paul Junior Ellison Of Rita, WV Rev. Paul Junior Ellison, 88, of Rita, went to be with the Lord Monday, October 21, 2013, from his residence after a brief illness. He was born March 13, 1925, in Logan County, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Millard Ellison. Also preceding him in death are three children, Robert Ellison, Drema Copley and Teresa Toler; and his siblings, Silas and George Ellison, Catherine Knight, Mary Walls, and Marie Brown. Rev. Paul was a disabled coal miner formerly employed with Belva Coal Co. He was an honorary member of Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 64 years, Myrtle Ellison; eight children, Larry (Lisa), Paul, Jr. (Barbara), and Jackie (Carol) Ellison, and Mary (Joe) Blair, all of Rita, Kenneth (Sherry) and Donald (Jean) Ellison, both of Asheboro, NC, John (Rosa) Ellison of Ethel, and Janice (Cecil) Curry of Morristown, TN; one brother, Clifford Ellison of OH; 32 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, 10-24-2013, at Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Butch Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
