Obituary of Bruce G. O'Neal

Bruce G. O'Neal, Jr. Of Mallory, WV Bruce G. O'Neal, Jr., 57, of Mallory, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 16, 2014, leaving from his home. He was born on July 27, 1957, at Man, the son of Virginia Ratliff O'Neal of Mallory with whom he made his home and the late Bruce Glendon O'Neal, Sr. Bruce was a disabled coal miner who worked at various coal companies in Logan, Boone, and Wyoming Counties. He was a member of the UMWA District 17. On occasion, Bruce attended Mallory Church of God. Bruce enjoyed watching sports on television especially the WV Mountaineers, Cincinnati Reds, Minnesota Vikings, and Nascar driver Jeff Gordon. A doting grandfather, Bruce loved spending time with his family. He will be missed greatly by his mother, Virginia O'Neal; daughter, Justina (Chris) Hatfield of Coal Mountain; son, Timothy (Karen) O'Neal of Culloden; four grandchildren; sisters, Gloria (Cecil) Hutchinson of Sebastian, FL and Debra (Bobby) Bryant of Davin; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Shaun Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services. Pall bearers will be Robbie Kennedy, other friends, and family.
