Of Mallory, WV
Macie May Stewart, 92, of Mallory, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 29, 2013 from Logan Regional Medical Center at Logan, after an extended illness.
She was born June 22, 1921, at Mallory, a daughter of the late Andy and Pearl Smith O'Neal.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Hiram Stewart; five brothers, Willard, Walter, Clem, Dewey, and Bruce O'Neal.
Macie attended Big Spring Baptist Church and worked for Pride as an assistant cook.
Those left to cherish her memory are her niece, JoAnn Lafferty of Davin and one sister-in-law, Virginia "Jenny" O'Neal of Mallory, who both helped care for her; and several nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank the doctors and the staff of the Logan Center at three mile curve for their special care given to Macie.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donald Lafferty officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m.Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
