Hazel Arms
Of Robinette, WV
Hazel Spradlin Arms, 88, of Robinette, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, September 27, 2013, from her home after a short illness.
She was born April 12, 1925, at Denver, KY, a daughter of the late Moses and Dessie Ratliff Spradlin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Harvey Arms; one infant brother, Homer Spradlin; and two sisters, Hester Ratliff and Anna Kaye Webb.
Hazel was a member of the Crown Freewill Baptist Church and was a Christian for 70 years. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Those left to cherish her memory are one son, Harvey D. (Karen) Arms of Man; two daughters, Dianne (Rev. Charles) Vance and Marsha Arms, both of Robinette; one granddaughter, Nancy (Brian) Garrity of Chicago, IL; two great-granddaughters, Carrigan and Reilly Grace Garrity, Both of Chicago, IL; her church family along with a host of other relatives and friends.
The Arms family would like to thank the staff of ARH Home Healthcare and Brian Stafford, and Jeff Prichard, both of Family Healthcare Associates.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 30, 2013, at Crown Freewill Baptist Church at Crown with Rev. Charles Vance and Rev. Roger Vance officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
Pallbearers will be Claude Baisden, Jr., Elliott Ellis, Jody Rose, Jackie Pridemore, Jay Adkins, and Randall Stepp.
Honorary pallbearers will be Carmel Perdue, Eddie Osborne, Leonard Hoosier, Sr., and Claude Hoosier, Teddy Pridemore, Emmett Russell, Emory Brewer, and Joe Nelson.
