Obituary of Launa Regina Mitchell

Launa Regina Mitchell Of Dyersburg, TN Launa Regina Mitchell, 68, of Dyersburg, TN, formerly of Lorado, WV, went to be with the Lord Monday, September 2, 2013, from Jackson-Madison County General at Jackson, TN, after a long illness. She was born March 17, 1945, at Ethel, WV, the daughter of the late Everett Ray and Laura Maxine McClure Adkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Rev. Michael Vaughn Adkins. Regina was a retired customer service associate formerly employed with Walmart. She was a long standing member of Lundale Freewill Baptist Church. Those left to cherish her memory are three children, Bill E. (Patricia) Fleming of Finley, TN, Christine R. (Scott) Morse of Fruitport, MI, and Lisa M. (Steve) Mitchell of Dyersburg, TN; her brothers, Larry R. Adkins of Oak Hill, WV, Roger L. (Louverna) Adkins and Rev. Bobby D. (Jennifer) Adkins, both of Lorado, WV; her sisters, Donna G. (Greg) Bowen of Morganton, NC, Judy D. (Carl) Cottle of Oak Hill, WV, Trudy M. (Meredith) Trent of Beckley, WV, Gwendolyn S. (Bo) McDonald of Lenoir, NC, and Tammy L. Conley of Oak Hill, WV; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2013, at the Lundale Freewill Baptist Church at Lundale, WV with Rev. Bobby Adkins officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the Lundale Freewill Baptist Church and one hour prior to services at the church also. Pall bearers will be family. Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man is in charge of the arrangements.
