Ruth Blankenship Caserta
Of Braeholm, WV
Ruth Blankenship Caserta, 60, of Braeholm, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 13, 2014, leaving from St. Mary's Medical Center at Huntington, after complications following heart surgery.
She was born on December 12, 1953, at Logan, the daughter of the late Howard Arthur and Easter Vinson Blankenship.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Pearl Brown; one brother, Howard Arthur "Squeeze" Blankenship Jr.; one sister, Patty Blankenship Marcum; three brothers-in-law; Robert Mendel Jr., Paul Scott, and Larry McComas; two nephews, Larry McComas Jr. and Billy McComas; and one niece, Shawna Mendel.
Ruth was a home maker. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 40 years, Randy Caserta; two daughters, Crystal Caserta and Stephanie Caserta, both of Logan; one son, Nickolas Ryan Caserta at home; eight grandchildren, Kayleigh Egnor of Lundale, Jacob, Ashley, and Emilea Smith of Palm Harbor, FL, Christian, Quinton, and Lauren Goodman of Whitman, and Brody Caserta of Logan; four sisters, Billie Jean (Doug) Sparks of Mud Fork, Carol (Randy) Shell of Crooked Creek, Brenda Mendel of Mitchell Heights, Marie (Glen) Lambert of Wilkenson; one brother, Richard Blankenship of MI; a niece who was raised as Ruth's sister, Kathy (Vic) DiStefano of Canton, MI; many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2014, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Brian Pope officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
