Obituary of Arland Ellis

Arland Ellis, 87, of Landville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, from the home of his son, Richard and Sharon Ellis, at Robinette, after a short illness.
He was born on October 17, 1925, at Landville, the son of the late Dennis and Ivy Burgess Ellis.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lee Dotson Ellis; one daughter, Kathy Ann Ellis Browning; and five brothers, Joe, A.J., Sammy, Donnie, and Ray Ellis.
Arland served his country in the US Marine Corp. He retired from Island Creek Coal Company.
Those left to cherish his memory are one son, Richard Ellis and his wife, Sharon, of Robinette; grandchildren, Shane, Tanya and Terry, Joshua and Leah, and Roger "Bit" and Keatley; four great-grandchildren, Paige, Michael, Harper, and Gracie; one brother, Bobby Ellis and his wife, Geneva "Boogie", of Landville; one sister, Mamie Gannon of Ohio; his extended family, Donald and Regina Key of Mud Fork, Tiffany and Jim Morrison of Logan, and Jessica, Johnny, and Jacob, all of Logan; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Robbie Gollihue officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home where friends may call one hour prior to services.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to Dignity Hospice, P. O. Box 4304, Chapmanville, WV 25508.
