Obituary of Arnold Lively

Arnold "Herbie" Lively Of Sidney, KY Arnold R. "Herbie" Lively, 77, of Sidney, KY, formerly of Landville, WV, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, June 13, 2013, from Pikeville Medical Center at Pikeville, KY, after a long illness. He was born March 14, 1936, at Mallory, WV, the son of the late Herbert and Stella Justice Lively. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Plymale Lively, and brother, Harry Lively. Herbie was an electrician in the coal mines who retired from the Island Creek Coal Company. He enjoyed camping, working on vehicles, and spending time with his family. Those left to cherish his memory are five children, Harold (Kim) Lively of Mathney, WV, Ray Lively of Sidney, KY, David (Dreama) Lively of Man, WV, Melissa (Brian) Nau of Sidney, KY, and Chris Smith of Sidney, KY; seven grandchildren, Patricia Snider of Gallipolis, OH, Christy Angel of Battle Creek, MI, Harold Lively, Jr. of Mathney, WV, Katie Lively of Verner, WV, Greg Kovach of Man, WV, Amber Kovach of Man, WV, and Anna Nau of Sidney, KY; nine great-grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at the Landville Freewill Baptist Church at Landville, WV with Rev. David Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the church and one hour prior to services. Pall bearers will be family and friends.
