Obituary of Jeremy Lee Grimmett

Jeremy Lee Grimmett Of Davin, WV Jeremy Lee Grimmett, 28, of Davin, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at his home. He was born December 6, 1984, at Logan, the son of Karen Sue Harper Collins of Davin and the late Timmy Grimmett, Sr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Lois Grimmett, James and Barbara Walker, and Marie Pancake. Jeremy was a coal miner who was formerly employed with Cliffs Natural Resources, Inc. He had also formerly been employed with Advance Auto at Man. An outdoorsman, Jeremy enjoyed hunting and riding 4-wheelers. He was talented at working on cars and stereo systems. Those left to cherish his memory, in addition to his mother and step-father, Billy Collins; are four brothers, Timmy (Elaine) Grimmett, II of Turtle Creek in Boone County, Michael Todd (Stephanie) Grimmett of Davin, Justin Michael (Kerri) Walker of Bruno, and Austin Clay Grimmett of FL; his grandparents, Ben and Geneva Harper of Elk Creek; four nephews, Timmy Grimmett, III, Ian Gage Walker, Taytem Chase Walker, and Skyler Justin Walker; one niece, Abigail Paige Grimmett; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at the Greenville Freewill Baptist Church at Greenville with Brother Gary Berry officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the Greenville Freewill Baptist Church and one hour prior to services at the church also.
