Bobby Joe Western
Of Greenvalley, WV
Bobby Joe Western, 55, of Greenvalley, went to his heavenly home Saturday, June 1, 2013, leaving this world from the home of his sister, Sandi, at Charleston, after a long courageous battle with cancer.
He was born June 20, 1957, at Man, the son of the late Frank, Jr. and Beulah Mae Cook Western.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank, Sr. and Juanita Kirby Western and Howard and Opal Cook.
Bobby worked with heating and cooling for over 30 years. He loved his work, helping people stay comfortable in all kinds of weather and was an extraordinary carpenter. Whenever a unit went down, whether day, night, or holiday, Bobby responded with a smile and his technical knowledge. A jokester, Bobby was always cutting up and making people laugh. He enjoyed life to the fullest, loving his family, especially his wife, Sandy, doing honest work, and honoring God. He was recently re-baptized surrounded by his loving family while staying at his sister's home.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 35 years and the love of his life, Sandy Lynn Maynard Western; two sons, Matthew Western and Billy Western, both of Greenvalley; one daughter, Joleene Western of Greenvalley; his identical twin brother, Billy Ray (Robin Western Harless) Western of Logan; two sisters, Sandi Duncan of Charleston and Juanita (Red) Wallace of Greenvalley; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2013, at the Kistler Freewill Baptist Church at Kistler with Rev. Roland Cook and Brother Robert Perry officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man and one hour prior to services at the church.
Pall bearers will be Jamie Duncan, Billy Western, Red Wallace, Bob Harless, Billy Lee Western, and Frankie Western.
Honorary pall bearer will be Matthew Western.
