Obituary of Geraldine Robinson Bunch

Geraldine Robinson Bunch of Davin was called for a joyous family reunion in Heaven on May 21, 2013. She was born October 21, 1938 at Rock Castle, Kentucky the daughter of the late Jim & Callie Mollette Robinson. She was a retired Bookkeeper and the 2010-2011 Logan County Belle. A very caring and giving person as well as devout a Christian, she was never too busy to lend a helping hand, especially for her family, including being the Den Mother of her sons Cub-Scout troop and helping to raise her two youngest brothers and one nephew. As a member of the Claypool United Methodist Church, she served on various committees such as the United Methodist Women, the Vision Team, & Board of Trustees. In addition to her contributions on behalf of her family and Church, she was very active in the community as a member of the Man Lions Club, Garden Club, Secretary for the Man Red Hat Divas, Vice President for S.T.A.R.T, Triadelphia District Executive Committee Member, Friends of the Buffalo Creek Memorial Library and several other community & civic organizations. When not involved with community events, she loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed traveling across America. She was proof that you are never too old to really live and enjoy life. All throughout her life, Geraldine had the privilege to touch so many lives and to have such a large family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Kenneth; one sister, Ora Ann Trogden; one brother, Jerry Robinson; her beloved grandson, Roger L. Bunch Jr.; and great–granddaughter, Lindsay Speaks. She will be mourned and greatly missed by her children, Kenneth Michael (Donna) Bunch of Davin, Roger Lee Bunch of Carmel, IN, and Kathy Elizabeth (Robert) Maynard of Lexington, NC; seven grandchildren, Stephen & Adam Bunch of Davin, LeAnna (Curtis) Justice of Charlotte, NC, Ashley & Matthew Bunch of Carmel, IN, and Tiffany & Erica Maynard of Lexington, NC; four great-grandchildren, Isaac Speaks, Addison & Jaden Rycrost, all of Lexington, NC and Allison Justice of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Delores Johnston of Beckley and Sue (Kenneth) Bragg of Amherstdale; two brothers, Calvin Robinson of Elyria, OH and Jimmy (Joyce) Robinson of Bluefield, VA; sister-in-law Linda Robinson of Green Valley; and former daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Bunch of Beckley; as well as numerous other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1pm, Saturday, May 25, 2013, at the Claypool United Methodist Church at Davin with Rev. Bryan Baker and Rev. Rick Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the Claypool United Methodist Church and one hour prior to services. Pall bearers will be Stephen and Adam Bunch, Donald & Larry Johnston, and David & Jason Robinson. Honorary pall bearers will be Calvin Robinson, Jimmy Robinson, Bob Phillips, J.R.
