Joey and I were both in the band together from the 7th grade till graduation and that's how we became friends. I also got to know a lot of other people through him like Sherry and Sheryl Grub, Georgeanne Lohn, the Mutters girls.... meeting pretty girls was one of the benefits of being Joey's friend. We had a lot of fun together and I will miss him and treasure the memories.

I knew Joey since I was 7 years old, so I knew him for 50 years. Time passes by so fast, it seems like yesterday we were hanging around at school. I will miss Joey and wish the family my condolences.

I am sorry that Joey's life was cut short and my heart goes out to all of his family. All the memories I have of Joey are happy and make me smile. From the 7th grade through senior year, his life paralled mine in homeroom, band, fun and laughter. He was the 2nd boy I ever kissed at the age of 13 and although it was just a little peck, at the time, I was ecstatic. To this day, I have never forgotten it. Joey was an awesome guy. He was funny, smart, handsome and a great friend to many. He made a difference in a lot of lives.
