Peggy Sue Merritt Browning
Of Neibert, WV
Peggy Sue Merritt Browning, 68, of Neibert, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 26, 2013, from Logan Regional Medical Center after a short illness.
She was born on May 24, 1944, at Logan, the daughter of the late Virgil Wilson and Chlora Sylvania Stallard Merritt.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Phyllis Merritt; and one very special niece, LaDonna Merritt Kirk.
Mrs. Browning was a retired school bus aide formerly employed with the Logan County Board of Education. She was a member of the Logan County School Service Personnel Board where she served in various positions through the years including serving as president. A 1962 graduate of Man High School, Mrs. Browning was a true blue Hillbillies fan. She was a member of the Kistler Freewill Baptist Church and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 49 years, Clinton Ray Browning of Neibert; one daughter, Karla Jean (Brad) Craddock of Chapmanville; one brother, Virgil "Eddie" (Gloria) Merritt of Neibert; three nieces, Tammy Sue (Tim) McCoy, Becky Grimmett, and Sandy Merritt (Jimmy) Sommerville, all of Neibert; Mamaw Suzi's special grandchildren, Nena, Nick, Sarah, Taylor, Katie, Kelsey, Keri, Kenna, Luke, and Erick; and a special friend, Jeannie Carroll; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel at Man with Rev. Roland Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services.
Pall bearers will be Raymond Napier, Lewis Napier, Jimmy Sommerville, Rick Grimmett, Barry Hatfield, and Keith Williamson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
