Obituary of Evangeline Clay

Evangeline "Angie" Clay Of Lorado, WV Evangeline "Angie" Clay, 90, of Lorado, went home to join her loved ones in Heaven on Sunday, April 14, 2013, from her home after an extended illness. She was born June 7, 1922, at Huntington, a daughter of the late Noah and Tilda Clark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Clay; two sons, Leroy "Pete" Clay and Billy "Bozo" Clay; three brothers, Rosco Clark, David Clark, and Cisco Clark; three sisters, Lestie Adkins, Corindy Clark, and Mae Spradly; one grandson, Terry Dale Clay; and one daughter-in-law, Madonna Clay. Angie was a home maker who was devoted to her family. She enjoyed traveling and shopping. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Those left to cherish her memory are her five children, Bobby (Brenda) Clay of Lorado, Larry (Billie) Clay of Milton, Betty (Danny) Brooks of State Road, NC, Judy Francis of Thurman, NC, and Brenda (Hal) Bellomy of Milton; fifteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; a special friend, Pauline Trent Browning of Kistler; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2013, at the Lundale Free Will Baptist Church at Lundale with Rev. Bobby Adkins and Rev. Keith Woods officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., prior to the beginning of the service, at the church. Burial will follow in Watson Cemetery at Four Mile at Branchland. Pall bearers will be grandsons. Honorary pall bearers will be Danny Brooks and Hal Bellomy. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
