Obituary of Betty Frances Tackett

Betty Frances Tackett Of Crown, WV Betty Frances Tackett, 79, of Crown, went to her heavenly home Friday, March 15, 2013, from Logan Regional Medical Center, after a long illness. She was born June 26, 1933, at Portsmouth, OH, the daughter of the late Lewis and Rachel Alice Lewis Collins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Tackett; two sisters, Clara Lucille Collins and Mary Elizabeth Craft; and two brothers, Merle and Eddie Collins. Betty was a home maker and a devoted mother. She enjoyed reading. Those left to cherish memory are seven children, Gordon Tackett, Dallas (Sharon) Tackett, Lewis (Delana) Tackett, James (Mary) Tackett, and Kenneth Tackett, all of Accoville, and Robert (Marion) Tackett and Clara Toler, both of Kopperston; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and special friends, Sherry and Charles Duncan of Accoville; along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon Monday, March 18, 2013, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. LeRoy Maynard, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the funeral home also. Pall bearers will be her grandchildren. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
