Timmy Grimmett
Of Davin, WV
Timmy Grimmett, 54, of Davin, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at his home.
He was born May 29, 1958, at Greenville, the son of the late William B. and Lois V. Canup Grimmett.
Timmy was a coal miner who has been employed with Cliffs Natural Resources Inc. for the last five years. He was also a master carpenter and enjoyed hunting with his sons. Timmy was a wonderful father and grandfather.
Those left to cherish his memory are four sons, Timmy (Elaine) Grimmett II of Turtle Creek in Boone County, Michael Todd (Stephanie) Grimmett and Jeremy Lee Grimmett, both of Davin, and Austin Clay Grimmett at home; five sisters, Debra Nutter of Greenvalley, Violet (Terry) Trent of Leesburg, VA, Mary (Kenneth) Justice of Cyclone, Lynn (Eric) Watson of Culpepper, VA, and Shellia Grimmett of Greenville; four brothers, Jerry (Shirley) Grimmett of Gilbert, Henry (Louise) Grimmett of London, OH, Carl (Ilene) Grimmett of Columbus, OH, and Michael Grimmett of Leesburg, VA; and two grandchildren, Abigail Paige Grimmett and Timmy Grimmett III, both of Turtle Creek in Boone County; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at the Greenville Freewill Baptist Church at Greenville with Rev. Baxter Toler officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. at the Greenville Freewill Baptist Church and one hour prior to services at the church also.
Pall bearers will be family.
