Ruby Mae Toppings Kemp
Of Cove City, NC
Ruby Mae Toppings Kemp, 62, of Cove City, NC, formerly of Landville, departed this life Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at home, after a sudden illness.
She was born April 7, 1950, at Landville, the daughter of the late Clyde "Skinny" and Emmazell McDaniels Sizemore and the late John Toppings.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Teresa McDonald; and one sister, Ruth Ann Sizemore.
Ruby was a retired cook formerly employed with Your House Restaurant at Raleigh, NC. She was of the Freewill Baptist faith. Ruby loved to crochet and spend time with her great-grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Rebecca (Windel) Perry of Bailey, NC, Pamela Poulin of Cove City, NC, and Angie (Bobby) Messer of Accoville; one adopted son, Dwayne (Gail) Ellis of Springhope, NC; three sisters, Elizabeth "Libby" Sizemore and Pam Sizemore, both of Landville, and Sherry (Rev. Jackie) Grimmett of Christian; one brother, Patrick "Cheryl" Sizemore of Accoville; ten grandchildren, Amy (David) Jones of Cove City, NC with whom she made her home, Larry (Lequita) Parsons of Wendell, NC, Curtis Parsons and Brittany Perry, both of Bailey, NC, Kaleigh Poulin and Leah Poulin, both of Cove City, NC, and Derek, Reese, and Tate Messer, all of Accoville; and eight great-grandchildren, Logan, April Marie, Emma, Taleah, Larry, Lauren, Kaitlyn, and Benjamin; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Monday, February 11, 2013, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel at Man with Rev. David Campbell and Rev. Jackie Grimmett officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home, 115 Market St., Man, WV 25635 to help with funeral expenses.
