Linda Sue Montgomery
Of Cooks Addition, WV
Linda Sue Montgomery, 64, of Cooks Addition, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at Huntington, after an extended illness.
She was born January 2, 1948, in Ritchie County, a daughter of the late Doy Smith and Gracie Jane Bishop McDonald.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Doy McDonald; one niece, Teresa McDonald; parents-in-law, Walter and Verlie Montgomery; and one brother-in-law, Robert Montgomery.
Linda was a payroll clerk and a secretary for the director of nursing at Man Appalachian Regional Hospital. After her marriage, she became a home maker and raised her family. She enjoyed hunting, camping, snow skiing, and spending time with her daughters, grandchildren, and family.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 45 years, Joseph L. Montgomery, of Cooks Addition; two daughters, Jeanetta Montgomery and Bobby Hall, and April Cook and her companion, Justin Newhouse, all of Cooks Addition; one sister, Doris (Rick) Paynter of Ripley; three very special grand children, Austin Cook, Zachary Cook, and Brady Hall-Montgomery, all of Cooks Addition; a special friend that she loved like a sister, Susan Lusk of Man; her faithful companion, Lexi; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, November 18, 2012, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel at Man with the Rev. Alfred "Butch" Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Hall, II, Justin Newhouse, Austin Cook, Dennis Lilly, Jamie Hall, and Bobby Hall, III.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Zachary Cook, Brady Hall-Montgomery, and Danny Grimmett.
