Of Cyclone, WV
Delana Jean Boothe, 33, of Cyclone, departed this life Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Logan Regional Medical Center at Logan.
She was born December 30, 1978, at Logan, the daughter of Gary Boothe of Cyclone and Dewanna Lusk Bailey and her husband, Darrell Bailey, of Cyclone.
Delana was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Joseph Boothe; her step-grandmother, Zelphia Workman Marcus; one uncle, Ronnie Boothe, and four cousins, Ronnie Joe Boothe, Lawrence Lee Boothe, Renea Chapman, and Vaunda Opal Harvey.
She was a 1997 graduate of Oceana High School where she was valedictorian. Delana was a registered nurse who graduated from Bluefield State College in 2001. An animal lover, she enjoyed taking care of horses and especially loved spending time with her dog, Abby.
Those left to cherish her memory, in addition to her parents, are one sister, Lavaunda Toler and her husband, Coby Toler, of Cyclone; one niece, Hannah Toler and one nephew, Cody Toler, both of Cyclone; paternal grandmother, Vaunda Lusk Boothe of Cyclone; maternal grandparents, Rev. Kennis and Imogene Lusk of Cyclone; her step-grandfather, Marshall Bailey of Richie County; one step-brother, Jimmy Workman and his wife, Becky, of Brandywine; three step-sisters, Vickie Osborne and her companion, Harvey Osborne, of Cyclone, Angela Valesquez of Brenton, and Lenora McKinney and her husband, Kevin, of Oceana; aunts and uncles, Donna Harvey of Knoxville, TN, Lonnie Boothe and his wife, Margie, Willie Boothe and his wife, Rhonda, and Scotty Boothe and his wife, Delinda, all of Cyclone; and step-aunts, Carolyn, Linda, and Barbara; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at the Cyclone Church of God at Cyclone with Rev. Emma White officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery at Main Huff at Cyclone.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the Cyclone Church of God and one hour prior to services also.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
