Lisa Dawn Whitt
Of Amherstdale, WV
Lisa Dawn Whitt, 47, of Amherstdale, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at home, after a long illness.
She was born October 23, 1966, at Man, the daughter of the late Larry and Lillian McCoy Whitt.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her biological father, Lonnie Hubert "Foo" Hatfield; grandfather, Rudolph "Doc" McCoy; two aunts, Shelia McCoy and Linda McCoy; one half-brother, Arnold Hatfield; one cousin, Danny Vance; and her father-in-law, Andrew "Dutter" Copley.
Lisa was a home maker and attended the Liberty Baptist Church at Amherstdale. She loved spending time and playing with her grandson.
Those left to cherish her memory are one son, Steven (Tiffany) Whitt of Amherstdale; one grandson, Brayden Whitt of Amherstdale; a special friend, Steve Copley of Amherstdale; her grandmother, Ethel McCoy of Amherstdale; her mother-in-law, Lorine Copley of Amherstdale; one sister, Ethel Gaye Whitt of Amherstdale; three brothers, James David (Beth) Whitt of Crown, Larry (Robin) Whitt II of Greenville, and Kevin Whitt of Greenville; three half-sisters, Cindy (John) Browning of Hico, and Hope (Charlie) Browning and Elaine Shaw, both of Accoville; one half-brother, Dwayne Hatfield of NC; several nieces, nephews, uncles, and aunts along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2012, at the Greenville Free Will Baptist Tabernacle at Hunt with Rev. Freddie Clay and Rev. Norman Booth officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the church and one hour prior to services also.
Pall bearers will be uncles, cousins, and nephews.
